Well here it is, my first blog.  I became a member of Flint Lions in March 2007, so to be representing the club as President for the year 2010/2011 I feel particularly proud and privileged and am looking forward to a busy year. 

I would like to thank John Gregory, our retiring President, for his very successful year. John has now had three spells as President of the club spaced over an amazing 37 years.

In the coming year we will have two Officers on the District Governors Cabinet, Lion Geoff Mitchell and Lion David Evans continuing our involvement at District level.

I would like to thank Lion Alan Jones for organising our golf competition last month despite problems and raising £400.00.  Lion Ken Greig deserves special mention for donning the Lion suit despite the hot weather! at the Caerwys Show and Sychdyn Carnival and raising considerable funds for the club.

Finally I should like to thank members of Flint and District Club for their encouragement and support and am sure we will have a successful and fun year.
